Clear Vinyl release their first of the decade, 'Into The Night'

Clear Vinyl are back with yet another pop anthem and the fourth to their growing collection, 'Into The Night'. Following their very successful trio of singles in 2019, the Derbyshire lads are hoping to reach even higher heights in 2020 and push their careers even further.

Last year the band lost an integral member of the Clear Vinyl family. James was an incredibly talented musician and a real close friend which hit them quite hard. To honour James' life, Clear Vinyl teamed up with a group of James' close friends for a special night at Sheffields Leadmill where they played to a 700 capacity crowd, which was upgraded from the initial venue, Leadmills backroom. The night was all about raising money and awareness for 'Jessie's Fund', a charity that helps children with special needs through the creative use of music. 'Into The Night' is a very proud yet quite an emotional release, as it is one of the first songs James recorded with the band. The band pledged to keep going and making music in honour of their very close friend.

We managed to grab lead singer Josh Feeley for a few words on the new release, life for the band during the current pandemic and what the plans are for the band in 2020.

Your new single is your first of the decade and the fourth to your library. How does it feel getting some new material out?

Honestly, it feels so good being able to release new music. We've been sat on loads of new tunes for a while and it is always awesome to show everyone what we've been doing.

It's a very strange time for everyone but how has it affected life for Clear Vinyl?

Well, it's a scary time for everyone all round due to the virus but at the same time life in lockdown has meant that we can focus on writing way more music and just letting the creativity out. Quite enjoying focusing on writing and not having to stop.

The music industry has had to change their ways in engaging with fans and the love across social media has been amazing, are you looking forward to getting back out their to your fans after the pandemic?

Playing live and meeting people is our favourite part of being a band so of course we are looking forward to it but for now everyones health and safety is paramount so engaging on social media is the next best thing. Bands are smashing it at the moment with live streams and giving people special content they wouldn't usually be able to give.

I know you had to reschedule some shows in 2020, does this just fuel the fire in your belly for future shows and releases?

Yeah man we are planning to be as busy as we possibly can be once this is all over. We've so much to show you all and it's our best stuff yet!

It is quite unpredictable when everything will be back to normal, although what do you have in the pipeline for the back end of the year?

We've a few festivals planned, loads of new music and plenty of chances to see everyone and catch up! All looking forward to a few beers and a chat with some friendly and new faces.
