Faisworth four-piece release new single 'Want You To Know' with B-Side 'Distant Days'

Following their debut single 'Wasting Time', The Notion are back with their brilliant new single 'Want You To Know'. The single also features a B-Side 'Distant Days' and both tracks are available to listen to on all platforms today.

'Want You To Know' really does take off from where the Failsworth quartet left with their first single and has the same up-beat, feel-good vibe to it. 'Distant Days' shows us a different side to The Notion as Kyles' lyrics emphasise meaning throughout and has a slower approach than their two singles. The B-Side is also very catchy and will have their fans singing along at their gigs for sure!

The boys will get a chance to showcase their new single to fans at their hometown gig at Night People in Manchester tomorrow night. There are still tickets available for what will be a great night of music, get your tickets by clicking here and give them the early support they deserve!

We spoke to lead vocalist, Kyle McCombe, ahead of the release and got his word on their new single and how excited the band are at playing it now it has been exposed to the public.

We are loving the new single Kyle, how does it feel to get another single out and with your first B-Side aswell?

We’re very happy that our second single is out, it’s feels like we’ve had just the one single out for a very long time, and now is the perfect time to release the next tune, we’ve a spent a number of the days for both songs in the studio perfecting it and once it was all finished and mixed we were all the buzzing with the finished article. We’re also loving how the B-Side has turned out, it was just a little demo I had that we wanted to add on to the single as a little B-Side but the finished product has given it this massive sound and we can’t wait to play it live.

Are you looking even more forward to your next gig now another single is out there for people to get familiar with before hand?

Yeah we’re looking forward to it even more now as we have our next headline gig tomorrow in Manchester, so it will be great to play more of our songs that people will know, the crowd makes the gigs and it’s class when people are going mad to the song you’ve wrote.

B-Sides always live on with the die-hard fans, do you feel Distant Days will be looked back on in years to come?

I hope so I think Distant Days shows a different side to us and it’s a slow and chilled out song and I can’t wait to see the reaction to it live as well as hearing people’s thoughts on it, I’m really proud how it’s turned out and I can see it being a good one for people to sing along to.

Are there any plans to get a video released for 'Want You To Know'?

From the release, there won’t be a video released however we are looking at getting something together and releasing it at a later date 100%!

The single is now available across all digital platforms and can be found on their Spotify by clicking here.
